Native Avatar Characters : The movie Avatar Characters
74Avatar Character Neytiri, a Na'vi
Avatar - the Journey of Learning about the Na'vi
Avatar is set in a planet many light years away from earth. This movies has many different characters involved in its epic adventure in Pandora. There are humans and other humanoid species called Na'vi. Na'vi's have there own language and there own way of living, much different then humans. Na'vi are very tribal, barely wearing clothes. There appearance is amazing, blue skin, bright eyes, and of course a tail. Na'vi's have a naturally occurring carbon fiber in there bodies, accompanied by a lot of muscle and a lot of skill, makes them fierce warriors. This is where the telling ends, you need to watch the movie to find out what an Avatar is, how they function and all that jazz, Don't want to spoil anything for anyone, I will only give brief character summaries.
Jake Sully
Jake Sully
Jake Sully is a United States Marine. He has a lot of pride in what he does and has a problem with anything interfering with it. He believes deeply that a Marine should be fighting for peace and democracy, but finds himself on his way to Pandora as a hired gun, working just for the company occupying and harvesting Pandora. Jake, is also lucky through a series of events to be picked as being an Avatar.
Dr. Grace Augustine
Dr. Grace Augustine
Grace is the head of the Avatar program. She runs the show of the scientists working on the Planet. Throughout the movie she mentors Jake and helps him learn the language and what to do on Pandora. She is the first and only one to ever write a book about the Na'vi.

Parker is the corporate administrator for the RDA mining company currently on Pandora. It is this company that pays the Avatar mission and everything else human on the planet. Parker is also one of the bad guys in this film.

Norm Spellman
Norm is a smart scientist who studies plant and animal life as part of the Avatar program. He himself is also an avatar, who arrives at the same time as Jake on Pandora.
Colonel Miles Quaritch
Colonel Miles Quaritch
Miles is the military contractor for the RDA mining operation. He is the bad guy of avatar, a complete military "kill everything" type of nutcase.

Neytiri is the first Na'vi introduced to us in the story. She is the princess of the Na'vi and becomes attracted to Jake for his bravery.
Neytiri
Eytucan
Eytucan
Eytucan is the leader of the Na'vi at the time Jake is there. He fills an indian style leadership of the Na'vi people.

Mo'at is Neytiri's mother and queen of the Na'vi. She is the spiritual reader for the tribe.
Tsu'Tey
Tsu'Tey is heir to the tribe chef. He doesn't like Jake at all and often tried to kill him, after sometime, they unified into being brothers like the rest.
Avatar has a few other minor characters and a lot of different kinds of significant animal species. Also, thanks to the humans, there is a large array of different machines and aircraft used in the movie.
Short Personal Endorsement
Personally, I love the movie! It is a great movie for the whole family to see. The way it is crafted together is awe inspiring. From the characters, to the plot, to the extra 3D experiences this really is a masterpiece in movie making. Nothing by far comes close in terms of action, adventure, struggle, romance, pride, endurance, or epic journey as Avatar does. I suggest everyone watch the trailer, then go out and experience Avatar in Imax 3D yourselves!
Avatar - Official Trailer
For me the experience watching Avatar was thought provoking and emotionally a roller coaster ride. what is a very well built storyline combined with excellent construction fo characters and plot has brought forth a viewing pleasure for the general public that should creat deep thought among its viewers. one I would enjoy watching over and over to be able to catch all the nuaunces of the movie.
I saw Avatar loved it I loved the Avatar people BUT I hated the Parker Selfridge that twerp and Colonel Quaritch that bastard I only love is the good guys but other than that I love the movie it's got some science fiction in it and I love science fiction I saw it in 3D and I didn't get sick not one bit.
I saw the 3d version, that was good
best film ive ever seen absolutley classic
I enjoyed the film and with another two to come I can't wait.
There's another element in the making of this film; three of the main actors transfer into there avatars, (slipping into there Na'vi body's), when there in this state the actors are not on the screen.
Voice overs have been around for years in animation and cartoons but this is not animation; it's something different; it drew you into these believable semi humans who had all the emotions of a human being; who would stand up and say they weren't for the underdogs in the end.
I can see film stars being created that don't really exist.
Who ducked when the gas canister was thrown?

hey, i watch the movie Avatar and it's quite good, Colonel Miles Quaritch was abit typical sterotype army nut but overall it was a well played out role. i think ur first picture is the scene where they are flying around the mountain which is my fav part of the movie. Neytiri character was also quite charismatic.
