Audio Textbooks for High School and College- Time to Learn Efficiently
70Audio Textbooks
Listen and Learn
Audio Textbooks are becoming slow and steady the best way to get a lot done in a small amount of time. College students live busy lives full of things that keep them up and moving. Between work, school, siblings, and of course parents a college students life is a living nightmare for activities like reading for anything, wither it be a book for enjoyment or a textbook reading. Most people like to listen to things being told to them and this often makes getting though the material quicker. The whole textbook might be only 5 hours on an audio track, how long do you think it would take you to read the whole thing yourself? This option gives even the slowest readers a time effective way of getting the homework done. It isnt really good to have just the audio book (have a digital textbook OR real textbook to read from with the audio track.)
Not only textbooks are offered! Cliffnotes and Sparknotes are famous for giving last minute homework skippers a prayer at passing English and any other course that involves books. Well now even those are available in audio form! It just makes so much sense when you think about it - if your not going to read the book why would you read the cheat summery material?
Advantages of Audio Textbooks
- Save Time - Fly though chapters at a quicker pace then you normally would.
- More Accessible - use them anywhere. In the car, on your iPhone etc.
- Darkness - Listen in the dark, it dont matter you will still get your homework done!
Devices that Use Audio Textbooks
More then not you already own many things that are compatible with your audio textbooks. Virtually anything that plays music can be used. (Not a singing birthday card, come on get real.) Heres a good list of things:
- iPods
- iPads
- Cd Players
- Smart Phones
- Dumb Phones
- Car Audio Systems
- New TVs
- DvD Players
- Personal DvD Players
- Select GPS Systems
- and many more!
Its as simple as taking the mp3 file (or convert it to MP3 from the file its in) and burning a cd, downloading it to your iPod or iPad, or even to your flash drive for multiple computers and tvs. I listed phones and those are simple, take a phone memory card and use the adapter on your computer, put it under the already made Music folder and your smart or dumb phone with adapter will run them =)

Hey Thranax, this is acutally a cool idea, I'm way past school. But I used to work for a company typing on computers for 12hrs straight everyday. So to keep from dying of bordom I would get audio books to listen to, while I did my work. I actually could go through six or seven books in one week. And remember them in great detail, So I think this is a great idea. Very nice hub.
